David Wiechert
I am 19 years old, born in Munich.
I started drawing very early, at the age of 3, as soon as I could hold a pencil.
Mostly animals, but also dragons, monsters, cars and robots.
I have won several prizes, including at the 2017 Youth Art Competition, and have already exhibited my pictures at various art exhibitions and some of my works at the Comic Fair in Munich.
I started writing short stories when I was in elementary school.
My first adventure novel, "The Cat – The Beginning," was published at the end of 2018. It's about...
Power struggles among wild cats are underway.
My first graphic novel, titled "Young Soldier - Diary of a Hero", was released in early 2019.
which describes the adventures and heroic deeds of a young soldier
and in the summer my first manga titled "The Dark Reaper".
In 2021 I published my exciting horror-fantasy novel "The Walls of Horror".
In June 2023, I published my first fully colored comic book, "SKULL Espen's Revenge".
In this exciting story, Skull, a young dog living on the streets of a small village with other strays, experiences many adventures. Danger lurks everywhere, especially the animal catchers and his rival, Espen, who make his life difficult. This emotional story, which shows how animal testing alters the character of animals, prompts the reader to reflect on these issues.
Besides writing, I also create my own 3D/2D animated films. Among other things, I created my first 2D promotional film in 2019 at the age of 11 for the Hans Stangl Foundation, followed in 2021 by a 2D explainer video for the Sonnenherz Family Cancer Support website, and in 2023 by a 2D inclusion video for a group home for people with disabilities. Currently, I am working on a complex 3D animated film for the German Gold Prospectors Association, of which I have been a member for three years. I also create my own objects using a 3D printer.
Three years ago I had the idea💡 to transfer my artwork not only to paper, but also to wood. Whether I use a pen or a wood-burning tool makes little difference to me.
I enjoyed it so much that for the past two years I've been selling my pyrography items – boards, storage jars with wooden lids, candles, boxes, crates, tree slices, hearts, bowls, and cooking spoons – at Christmas and art markets, creating custom designs live in my pyrography booth. I also sold T-shirts with my comic designs there.
In April 2025, I opened my own Etsy online shop, "SubveriArts." There, in addition to my T-shirts and personalized pyrography items, you can now also purchase backpacks, bags, mugs, and other accessories featuring my comic, cartoon, furry, dark art, and fantasy/horror designs in my own style, ranging from funny to creepy. You can find them at the following shop link: https://subveriarts.etsy.com
